Attorney Description:
Mr. Walters practices business law, probate administration/litigation and estate planning.
Mr. Walters frequently represents individuals and families in estate planning and probate matters. He is frequently asked by the Chatham County Probate Court to serve as an appointed attorney or guardian ad litem for an individual in probate court.
In the 2007 Session of the Georgia General Assembly, Mr. Walters served as legal counsel to the Judiciary Committee in the Georgia House of Representatives. In that capacity, he assisted Chairman Wendell Willard and other committee members by researching proposed law, drafting legislation, and providing advice on proposed legislative activities.
Adam Walters is on the faculty of the National Business Institute where he teaches continuing legal education classes on probate administration and probate litigation.
Mr. Walters is a registered Georgia Mediator. He serves on the American Health Lawyers Association Dispute Resolution Service's Arbitration Panel and Exclusive Mediation Roster.
Additionally, Mr. Walters serves as an arbitrator for FINRA which regulates broker-dealers.
Mr. Walters is a 1997 graduate of the University of Georgia with a BBA in banking and finance. In 2002, he received his J.D. from Mercer University.
Mr. Walters is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, State Bar Fiduciary Law Section, American Bar Association, National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and Savannah Estate Planning Council.
