      <title>Stan Harris (SBA Member) Book Event</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;Our very own SBA Member Stan Harris will be giving a presentation&amp;nbsp;at 7:30 pm on Tuesday,&amp;nbsp;October 23, 2012, in connection with the release of his new book on the practice of law, entitled "THE PRACTICE: What They Don't Teach You In Law School."&amp;nbsp; The presentation will be a part of the regular meeting of the Harvard Club of Savannah, and will take place at The Hoskins Center for Biomedical Research on the campus of Memorial University Medical Center (66th and Ranger Streets).&amp;nbsp; For details, see the attached flyer:&lt;/p&gt;

      <title>SBA Scholarship Committee announces 2013 Scholarship Timetable</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;The Scholarship Committee of the SBA has announced the timetable for applications and awards for the 2013 scholarships.&amp;nbsp; There are two scholarships for which the Scholarship Committee accepts applications - the Judge Phyllis Kravitch Award, presented to a qualifying law student,&amp;nbsp;and the Judge Eugene Gadsden Award, presented to a graduating high school senior to be used to in furtherance of undergraduate studies.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Reminder notices&amp;nbsp;will be sent to school counselors and financial aid offices in&amp;nbsp;January&amp;nbsp;2013 by The Savannah Community Foundation, Inc., which administers both awards.&amp;nbsp; &lt;strong&gt;The deadline for applications for both scholarships will be Friday, March 29, 2013, at noon.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Additional details will be sent to SBA members by separate email notification as the deadline for application approaches.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <title>2012 Georgia Mock Trial Regional Competition</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;The 2012 Georgia Mock Trial Regional Competition will be held February 24-25, 2012 at the Chatham County Courthouse.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Members of the Savannah Bar Association are requested to volunteer as either a Presiding Judge or Scoring Evaluator for the Friday evening, Saturday morning, and/or Saturday afternoon rounds.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
